The Railway Industry

In 1995, the group COFIPRO decided to diversify into the Train Industry thanks to the acquisition by its subsidiary, BARAT SA, of the company BDD, which was manufacturing passenger access doors for MI2N Project ( for SNCF and RATP).

Thanks to its experience in working in inox and thanks to its efficient R&D Department, BARAT SA succeeded in becoming a specialist in making complex doors and partitions. For instance, BARAT made all the internal doors for VIRGIN Trains for the West Coast Main Line and Cross Country Line, because we were able to meet the high British Fire Safety Standards needed.
